Tennis in Lana & environs

Those, who cannot imagine a holiday without a tennis racket, will feel right at home here in Lana and surroundings.
Lana, Cermes, Postal and Gargazzone all offer first-rate tennis courts for beginners, hobby players & for seasoned tennis pros.
In particular, the large-area LanArena offers everything the heart desires.

Riding in Lana & environs:

South Tyrol is the home of the gentle-natured and sturdy Haflinger horses. There are excellent horseback riding opportunities in and around Lana, offering Haflingers and other breeds as well as pony riding. Carriage rides across the town of Lana for the whole family are offered once a week during July and August. A wide offer of services is provided by the Reitpark Lana. To know the variety of horse breeds and riding disciplines visit the Reitclub Meran.

Paragliding in Lana & environs:

The Alps seen with the eyes of an eagle: nothing can compare to the breathtaking panoramic views enjoyed while paragliding! You'll be gliding high above Lana and its surroundings, and have an unimpeded view of the entire Dolomites mountain range far into Austria, and an equally stunning view south far into the Trentino region. The saying 'free as a bird' takes on quite a different meaning here!
Of course there are countless opportunities for take-offs and entire afternoons in the air in and around Lana, surrounded by the South Tyrolean mountain landscape.

Rafing and canoeing in Lana & environs:

One of the youngest Alpine sports is rafting. The boat is steered across white waters, rivers and rapids. Rafting now makes the rivers Passer and Adige accessible for anyone in the mood for adventure, and who isn't afraid to get a little wet. Anyone, who has ever experienced rafting, will never look at a river the same way again. See for yourselves!

AlpinBob Meran 2000

At Merano's local recreation area Merano 2000, 'tobogganing' is now available during the height of summer as well - because here you will find South Tyrol's very first rail toboggan: AlpinBob 2000. The ride begins at an altitude of 2,000 m in a 'toboggan' on rails, and continues for one kilometer downhill; AlpinBob is of course completely integrated both technically and logistically into the cable car network: since the starting point of the mountain rollercoaster is located at the upper cable car station Merano 2000. AlpinBob can be reached quickly and easily with or without a car: you can take the bus from Merano to the lower cable car station, and then ride the cable car up

Climbing in Lana & environs:

In Lana & surroundings you will find numerous climbing crags like the boulder area in Algund / Lagundo, the ice climibing wall in the Passiria Valley or the climbing wall at the waterfall Fragsburg above Merano. An intersting climibig wall is also to be found in St. Hyppolit/ San Ippolito above Lana. Here you can climb outdoors all the year long. For an indoor climb experience visit the Merano "Rockarena".
